Turkey Divan
Ingredients:
Brown rice, 1 c
Onion
Vegetable oil
Mushrooms, 4 ounces, optional
Flour, 2 T
Sherry, 1 cup
Cream, 1/4 cup
Chicken boullion, 1 t
Thyme, 1 t
Nutmeg, 1/2 t
White pepper, 1/4 t
Black pepper, 1/4 t
Umami seasoning, 1t, optional
Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey
Broccoli, 2 heads
Crispy fried onions, optional
Directions:
Cook rice.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Chop onion and saute in oil until brown. Optionally chop mushrooms and saute. Mix in flour, sherry, cream, and spices and warm.
Chop turkey and broccoli and put in a nice baking pan and mix together. Pour sauce on top, making sure to cover all the broccoli so it gets wet and cooks. Optionally top with crispy fried onions.
Bake in oven for about 30 minutes, when it starts to bubble.
